Heaven Can Wait (1943)

Lubitsch's version of the Faust myth - the inability of a man to damn himself. Charles Coburn and Eugene Pallette delightfully reprise (in reverse) their senex roles from "The Lady Eve".

This movie was especially horrifying for its posited identity of the lobby of hell with the lobby of the Empire State Building. And Jay, you're the only person I know who would use the word "senex" in a blog - Erin
